Prepare your words before the client hears them.

An employee can speak quietly, read the translation and decide what will be spoken. Pro adds the OFFICE business tone and the “Meeting glossary”.

The interface is also available in Polish, but it does not recognize Polish whispers, speak Polish, or translate from or into Polish.

Approval

The translation appears before playback. If there is an error, the employee discards it.

Company terminology

The “Meeting glossary” replaces a specified word in the finished translation. The “Never say” list can hold a sentence containing a recognized term.

On the device

Whispers and translations are processed on the iPhone. The app does not send conversation content to the provider. Once the language packs are downloaded, it also works without a network connection, even in airplane mode.

Moving devices

Lists and settings can be exported to a file and imported on another device. The user chooses how to transfer the file.

Longer utterances

Long pause and multi-sentence messages let you prepare a complete request before playing it aloud. Both features are free.

Buying Pro

The annual plan and one-time purchase provide the same features. The purchase is assigned to the Apple Account. Terms for team purchases require separate confirmation; the website does not currently offer volume licences.

A brief map of data

Microphone → working memory → on-iPhone speech recognition → local translation → optional Diplomat mode → preview and approval → speech synthesis.
Audio, transcripts and translations do not create a conversation history. Locking the screen and switching to another app stop listening.
Saved lists are encrypted with a key that never leaves this iPhone. They are included in an iPhone backup if you make one, but cannot be read on another device. Transfer them to a new iPhone using a file (“Export to a file”). SubVocal does not sync them through iCloud.
An export requested by the user is a readable file. It contains not just the glossary, but also phrases, the “Never say” list and speech rates. Check its contents before sharing it with colleagues.
Apple services handle model downloads, purchases and Pro restoration, and diagnostic reports if the user has consented to them in iOS.

Before deployment, check the languages, offline pack availability and operation on company devices. Set rules for microphone use around conversation partners and for exports.
